BUCKS OUT OF DSC

Bucks bow out of the Derbyshire Cup but give a good performance after a 5 week break and latest fixture news.

It was never going to be easy following the long break for bad weather, but the Bucks put up a great display in their Derbyshire Cup encounter against higher league opposition at Ilkeston on Tuesday night. Despite going behind to an early Danny Holmes goal, Buxton enjoyed long periods of possession and created chances with Tommy Agus missing a penalty. Gavin Knight levelled on 63 minutes for the Bucks, this after Mark Reed had a goal disallowed for a very close off-side, and there were chances at both ends before the game went into extra-time (again!!!) The hosts won through in the extra period with goals from Jack Watts and an own-goal through Gregg Anderson. Full match report to follow.

The Bucks will be now at home to Marine on Tuesday March the 2nd at 7-45.
