This afternoon's match with Whitby Town is ON....tell your friends!!! Fixture news, Reedy signs a loan player and Blacky’s week is rounded off perfectly.
The Silverlands pitch is in fine condition and providing there is no heavy overnight frost, Saturday’s clash with Whitby Town will be ON. John Reed is expected to keep the same squad that came back so well against Frickley on Tuesday night against a Whitby side that are having a good season under new manager Harry Dunn. Gavin Knight looks set to be out for a while after having surgery on an infected foot and John Reed has added to the squad with the loan signing of Oscar Short from Ilkeston Town this afternoon. Short is a young left sided player that has had a spell at Derby County and impressed in Ilkeston’s win over the Bucks in the Derbyshire Cup last month.
The Bucks will now be at home to Kendal Town on Wednesday the 21st of April meaning the Cumbrian side have had to travel to the Peak District in midweek for the last two seasons.
More good news for Grant Black this week following his first goal for the club in 107 appearances. ‘Blacky’s partner gave birth to a baby boy named Rudy on Friday morning and best wishes go out to the three of them from all at the Silverlands.
