MARK REED-Forward (29), re-joined the club at the start of December 2008 from Cammell Laird. Mark is a true Buxton FC legend having become the club’s leading post-war goalscorer with 119 competitive goals in 184 (19) appearances before he signed for Vauxhall Motors in October 2007. ‘Reedy ’initially joined the Bucks while at university at Sheffield in October 2002 and became in instant favourite with the Silverlands ‘faithful’ earning two Player-of-the-season awards and even won the Non-League Paper’s national Player-of-the-Year award in 2006. Has continued his free-scoring form since rejoining and last term was the leading scorer, netting 29 in just 34 (3) appearances despite suffering an injury in the home game against the now defunct Kings Lynn.
