MEN’S FIRST TEAM MANAGER

We are now welcoming applications for the Men’s First Team Manager position at Buxton FC. The Club’s ambition is to take the team full-time with a squad combining youth and experience.

The role is therefore a full-time role reporting to the relevant Directors and Club Chairman, with a focus not only on First Team success, but also the Club’s responsibilities and involvement within the community.

The successful applicant will preferably hold a UEFA A or B coaching licence and have an exceptional knowledge of non-league football, particularly the National League & National League North.

Responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the transition from part-time to full-time football, with the full support of the board.

• Securing results on the field and developing a team to play attractive football.

• Managing within an agreed budget.

• Identifying, recruiting, and progressing young players.

• Opposition scouting, research, and match preparation.

• Heading up a strong backroom team, adding to and enhancing our existing core group.

• Having a strong involvement in the activities of the Club within the community, alongside players and backroom staff.

• Attendance at Club events and community opportunities when appropriate.

• Implementing a Club code of conduct, good practice and managing player discipline.

• Oversight of the Club’s Academy.
