On paper, Buxton's biggest-ever win over Marine (in their 80th meeting!) may look a one-sided affair but 3 goals in 12 minutes at the end created that false impression. In reality, the hosts' 2nd goal in the 83rd minute came as a relief to the home 'faithful' who legitimately feared the still competitive visiting outfit might at least force an equaliser. The Bucks gave a debut to on-loan Grimsby Town midfielder Zak Gilsenan against Marine. Australian-born Zak came through the youth system at Perth Glory before junior spells at Barcelona and Liverpool. He signed a senior contract at Blackburn Rovers and despite injury concerns made several appearances in the first team squad before joining Grimsby Town last summer. He is also a Republic of Ireland Under 21 International through his parentage.

The Bucks are next in action this coming Tuesday with an away trip to Leamington at 7-45. This starts a run of three away games with Radcliffe next Saturday and Southport a week on Tuesday.
