For the second consecutive Saturday, Buxton, with 5 different scorers, won by 4 clear goals to climb back into the play-off places for the first time since early November. As was the case last Saturday, 'the Bucks' had to work hard to achieve ascendancy over 5th-placed Radcliffe but a dominant 2nd-half display earned the impressive victory. Yet after the match had entered its final quarter, within 2 minutes there was a pair of potential turning-points. Leading 3-1, in the 78th-minute Tai Sodje was clear through centrally but, faced only by the advancing veteran 'keeper, Mark Halstead (ex-Blackpool), he surprised his many fans by shooting wide when a 4-1 scoreline would surely have ended any remaining hopes of a Radcliffe revival. To prove the point, just 2 minutes on, the Buxton goal enjoyed a remarkable escape. From a home corner-kick, ex-Silverlander Brad Roscoe thundered a header against the underside of the bar but desperate defending saved a goal before the centre-back fired over the target. A 'Boro goal then might have made for a closer outcome.....Full Match Report HERE

The Bucks are back in action this coming Tuesday with an away trip to Southport at 7-45 and we return to Tarmac Silverlands Stadium action next Saturday when the visitors will be Spennymoor Town at 3pm.
