After exiting 2 cup competitions in the past week, on Tuesday evening 'the Bucks' made sure it wasn't 3rd time unlucky with a positive performance that earned a comfortable passage into the next round of the league cup by 3 clear goals. What's more, the win could have been still more convincing as 'the Bucks' struck the goal frame 3 times without reward ! Both clubs fielded strong teams, with only Kyle Harrison and Jude Oyibo rested but named on the Buxton substitutes' bench as Salford loanee, Yianni Nicolaou, was given his debut at right wing-back and Alex Brown was restored to the left flank to produce an improved personal display in prompting attacks as the 3 centre-backs did most of what defending was necessary.
