Buxton Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Jordan Broadbent as the Club’s new Men’s First-Team Manager ahead of the forthcoming season.
Broadbent will join the Bucks on a two-year contract, bringing with him a wealth of coaching experience gained at one of the country’s most respected football institutions, Sheffield Wednesday FC.
Having worked across both Sheffield Wednesday’s Academy and First Team environments, Broadbent has developed a strong reputation for player development, tactical understanding, and a progressive approach to coaching. His experience working with elite young talent, alongside senior professional players and staff, has equipped him with the skills and knowledge required to lead Buxton FC into an exciting new chapter.
The appointment marks a significant step forward for the Club as it continues to build for the future both on and off the pitch.

Speaking following his appointment, Broadbent said:
“I’m excited to be joining Buxton Football Club. From the first conversations I had with the owners, it was clear that the club has a strong identity, ambitious plans, and a real desire to keep moving forward.
The opportunity to work at a club with such a passionate fanbase and strong foundations was one I couldn’t turn down. I believe in creating an environment where players can develop and improve , while also building a team that is competitive, hard-working, and committed to winning football matches.
Success doesn’t happen overnight, but we’ll work every day to build something that supporters can connect with and be proud of. I can’t wait to meet the players, staff and fans, and get started on what I believe can be an exciting journey for everyone involved with the club.”
Buxton FC Chairman David Hopkins added:
“We are delighted to welcome Jordan to the Club. Throughout the recruitment process, he demonstrated a clear vision for the future, a strong understanding of the game, and a genuine enthusiasm for what we are continuing to build at Buxton FC. His experience at Sheffield Wednesday FC, working within both the Academy and First Team, makes him an outstanding appointment and we are excited to see him lead the team over the coming years.”
Everyone at Buxton Football Club would like to extend a warm welcome to Jordan and wishes him every success during his time at the Club.
Further announcements regarding the Club’s preparations for the forthcoming season will be made in due course.
