Buxton Football Club in the Community Signs Its Newest Recruit!

Following nearly £1million of investment at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, Buxton Football Club is now proud to boast a brand new 4G pitch. With this and other new facilities now in place, the club is set to launch its Academy education programme in 2019. In the Club’s continued efforts to offer partnerships with all local community groups, Luke Stow has been employed full-time as Community Liaison Officer as the ‘go-to person’ for those wishing to engage with the Club.

Buxton born and bred, Luke not only will be offering opportunities for young supporters on match days, but also running after-school and holiday clubs, walking football, as well as organising fundraising events such as golf days and the up-coming Murder Mystery Evening.

Club Chairman David Hopkins said “we are delighted to welcome Luke to the Club and are already seeing the positive impact he is having. We are thrilled he has chosen to work for Buxton Football Club and know that together we will be able to continue our ever-increasing engagement with the local community.”
