Charlie Cresswell

It is with profound sadness that Buxton Football Club announces the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Charlie Creswell, at the age of 72. Following a medical emergency last Friday, Charlie sadly passed away today, surrounded by his family.

Club Chairman David Hopkins said:

“Charlie dedicated many years of service to Buxton FC, including our Academy, and was a hugely respected and valued member of our football club. His unwavering commitment, hard work, and friendship touched countless players, staff, volunteers, supporters, and visitors. More than anything, Charlie was a true gentleman whose presence around the club will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, and particularly his wife, Elaine, at this incredibly difficult time.” Rest in peace, Charlie.
