CROWD ENTERTAINED TO THREE-GOAL WIN

The Bucks, unbeaten since January, outplayed visitors Grantham Town on Saturday (April 9th) with two goals from Diego De Girolamo and another by Ash Chambers, to run out 3-0 winners. Although already relegated, Grantham played some attractive football of their own to contribute to the entertainment for a Tarmac Silverlands crowd of 775.

The opener from Ash Chambers was after 11 minutes, hit home from close range, while Diego De Girolamo's brace involved a 12-yards power drive in 21 minutes and a 65th-minute finisher after a multi-passing move out of the Bucks' defence. Full Match Report HERE

Assistant manager Damian Crossley said: "We were very good in patches. Once we went two goals in front it looked as if we'd get more. They were three worthy goals, although I'd have liked us to take further chances."

Three matches remain, two of them against Derbyshire sides. The Bucks go to Mickleover near Derby on Saturday, then entertain near-neighbours Matlock Town on Easter Monday in an all-ticket game, before visiting Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday 23rd. Two points behind the Bucks, South Shields are at FC United of Manchester on Saturday, at home to play-off hopefuls Whitby Town on Easter Monday, then finish off at Grantham Town.

Damian Crossley concluded: "The Matlock Town game should be a great event, particularly if it's on the back of a win at Mickleover."

Fans are urged to buy their tickets early and arrive in good time for the Matlock match, 3pm kick-off on Monday 18th, as a large crowd is expected.
