We have been informed that former club physio and commercial manager Gary Bentley has sadly passed away. Gary was involved for many years with the club in various capacities at a time when the very future of Buxton FC was in doubt and his help and enthusiasm was a factor in turning the fortunes around. Gary was a well-known character around Buxton, especially with his disco, ‘Beyond the Groov’, which was used by the club for many seasons especially when celebrating the 125 anniversary in 2002.

Condolences from all at BFC to his family and close friends. RIP.

The 1st team squad at Buxton have been put through their paces this week with an online physical session by coach Nigel Keogh. One slight plus from the lockdown is that players with knocks through the busy start to the campaign are having chance to recuperate and we will be ready to hit the ground running when the time comes.

One player who is still able to play is forward Reece Styche who was a second half substitute for Gibraltar in their friendly match with Bulgaria on Wednesday night. Despite the 3-0 reversal, Stychey earned praise for his performance and will be hoping to start the competitive games against San Marino and Liechtenstein in the coming days.
