Loan And Dual-Reg Watch
We have a number of our exciting young players out on loan and on dual registrations at various clubs at the moment. Dylan Mantle, who returned to the club in the summer after impressing at Rossington Main in the NCEL last season, is currently out on loan at Mossley in the NPL West Division. Once again he is turning in some fine performances, and his loan is in the process of being extended. Playing alongside Dylan at Mossley is his former Buxton Youth Team colleague Kyle Campbell (currently on a season’s loan from Radcliffe) and the team is captained by another ex-Buck, Mark Lees.
Also playing in the NPL West League is new Buxton signing Jake Lewis who is on a dual registration with Atherton Collieries. Jake was a trialist at Everton in his younger days before moving up the junior chain at Stockport County. He played regularly in the County Reserve side last season before picking up an injury last January. Jake is one the Bucks management team are keeping a close eye on.
Two of last season’s success stories in the Buxton Academy side are out plying their trades in the North West Counties League. Harry Balfe is currently at Droylsden, where former Buxton manager Paul Phillips is a coach and forward Luke Evans is playing up the A6 at New Mills where he has made a successful goalscoring start with ‘the Millers’. Another Academy player out on a dual is defender Kobi Jones who made a goalscoring start for Radford last Saturday in the United Counties League match at Gedling MW.
