Match Preview (Lancaster City Home)

By Elliot Steadman

Up next The Bucks are back at The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, as they face Lancaster City for a 3pm kick off on Saturday 2nd April 2022.

The Bucks

We go into this game following a 3-0 away win against Witton Albion.

Goals from Cowan, Clarke and De Girolamo got us the three points, keeping our 2 point lead in the table, as we continue our fight toward promotion.

Manager Steve Cunningham is looking for revenge against Lancaster

“We owe them a performance and a result, as when we played them last it was my first loss at the club. We want to avenge that one. They are a tough top team who have also had a bit of a resurgence. But we will go into it like they are up there fighting for the title.”

Opposition

Lancaster City sit 10th in the league currently on 55 points. The Blues have been on great form and are unbeaten in their last 5 games winning the last 4.

Mark Fell has been in charge of Lancaster since 2018 after previously managing Ramsbottom United.

They play their games at The Giant Axe Stadium, and will be without the suspended Liam Brockbank in this game. In their last game they beat Nantwich 1-0 thanks to a Jack Bryne goal.

One to Watch

Captain of Lancaster, Andrew Teague, is strong in the heart of their defence, having made 150 appearances for the club. He has played a big part in the recent run of form for the visitors, leading them to 4 clean sheets in their last 5 games.

Last Time Out

The Dolly Blues won 1-0 at The Giant Axe in November, with a Lewis Fensome goal being the difference on the day.
