Moore United 3 - Buxton Reserves 2

Updated: Nov 23, 2018

The reserves will be bitterly disappointed to return from Warrington empty handed having created enough chances to win two games, never mind one. The young Bucks twice led. The opening goal coming after 6 minutes when James Handley finished at the back post from a Sam Kilner free kick. Moore's first equaliser came on 54 minutes with a close range effort but the visitors took the lead again on 77 minutes when Amadu Djalo broke through the midfield and beat the advancing keeper. The Bucks, who had already squandered a number of chances, contrived to miss more opportunities to kill the game before the hosts equalised again in the 81st minute. Hopes of an away victory were raised moments later when the home side were reduced to ten men following a dangerous challenge in the middle of the park. Then, in the last minute of the game came the sucker punch. With the Bucks pushing for the winner they deserved, Moore broke away and scored at the other end to take all three points.
