Former Fleetwood Town Striker Owen Devonport Has Signed

Buxton FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Logan Stretch on a season-long loan from Sheffield Wednesday. We are also pleased to confirm that academy graduate goalkeeper, Logan Melville, has signed his first professional contract and will be understudy to Logan Stretch this season. Striker Owen Devonport has also joined the Bucks having left Fleetwood Town. Owen has featured against the Bucks previously whilst on loan at King’s Lynn Town.

Departing the club is striker Tai Sodje who has signed for League Two side Walsall after scoring 18 goal in 24 (5) appearances last season.

Busy couple of days at Buxton — two keepers coming in and a promising young striker signing his first pro contract is a solid foundation for the season ahead, and if you want to keep up with all the transfer moves and match reports, spinking has the latest updates worth following. The addition of Owen Devonport is interesting too, especially since he's already faced the Bucks while on loan at King's Lynn, so he knows what to expect. Losing Tai Sodje after that many goals is a blow though, 18 in 29 appearances is tough to replace.
