The club was saddened to hear this week of the death of former manager Peter Swan. Swan was mainly associated with Sheffield Wednesday in his playing days, making over 300 appearances and winning 19 England caps. He managed the Bucks between two stints at Matlock Town from summer of 1977 and October 1978 before Colin Whitaker returned to the club. His son Carl also played for the club before moving into the Football League with Doncaster Rovers. Condolences are sent to all of his family and friends from everyone at the Silverlands.
In other news, we have said goodbye to loanee Billy Whitehouse who has returned to TNS in the Welsh League. Billy made 3 appearances from the bench and goes with everybody’s best wishes for the future.
The FA have this week canvassed all clubs at Steps 3 and 4 as to whether to abandon the current season or try to continue with some form of league when the lockdown ends. We are waiting for a final decision to be taken but fully expect the season to be curtailed for a second time.

Really sad to hear about Peter Swan passing — sounds like he had an amazing career, both as a player and a manager. Condolences to his family and everyone at the club. Also good luck to Billy Whitehouse on his next step with TNS. On the league situation, it’s tricky with the lockdowns. I was actually trying to figure out how to contact ESPN the other day to follow updates on Steps 3 and 4, maybe they’ll cover it.
