Jude...Well Policed At Basford

Buxton's play-off hopes took a knock on Saturday as ample possession and openings created couldn't be converted into goals since a cutting edge was absent. The injured Grayson was missed and the recently in-form Jude Oyibo was well-policed, often by defenders doubling up on him. Basford had tall men in defence with their accompanying aerial ability yet always looked vulnerable to well-constructed attacks on the 3G surface but 'the Bucks' were somewhat short of fluency. ....Report HERE


The Bucks are next in action this coming Tuesday with an away trip to Trafford FC in the semi-final of the Integro League Cup. This is the first visit to Trafford since October 2014 when Shaun Tuton gave the Bucks a 1-0 league victory.

In player news we have said goodbye to midfielder Kayde Coppin who has joined Glossop, Kayde goes with best wishes from everyone at the Silverlands. Manager Paul Phillips is actively searching for new recruits and a signing is imminent with a 7 days approach reaching its conclusion.
