With the league season due to start on the 19th of September, Buxton FC will be welcoming supporters back to the ground from the 1st of the month when a limited crowd of 300 will be able to attend the Hallam FC friendly. Following this match, as long as safety guidleines are passed, the capacity at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium will be increased to 600 in line with government Covid guidelines.
Fixtures are due to be announced from the 29th of August and the Bucks will enter the FA Cup in the 1st qualifying round on Tuesday September 22nd. All matches will have to be completed on the day/night with no replays. Also this season there will be no county cups of any description.
The Bucks have entered a reserve side in the Staffordshire County League this season, which starts on Saturday 12th of September. Home fixtures will take place on Saturday's when the 1st team are away and there will also be some mid-week matches to be played on Tuesday nights.
The BFC Academy will be playing in two divisions of the National League Under 19's Alliance this season with games to be played midweek afternoons.
The Bucks playing squad has gone through a massive transformation this summer and penpics will be added to the website in the coming week and we are also launching a new Bucks TV Channel.
The 1st team have played 2 pre-season matches away from the Silverlands this week with a 6-0 victory at Loughborough (including a Tommy Elliott hat-trick) and a 3-0 win at Eastwood Community FC yesterday.
We have 4 remaining pre-season matches to play and they are all at home. (Details below). Ticketing details and admission prices for these matches to follow.
