The past 8 days' results must rate as one of the strangest weeks in the long history of BFC! From excellent performances in the narrow F.A.Cup defeat to unbeaten York City and the 7-0 drubbing of 9th-placed Grantham Town last Tuesday, 'the Bucks' suffered a totally unexpected thrashing at 11th-placed F.C. Utd on Saturday. What's more, this was Buxton's first league defeat away to the 'Red Rebels' after 5 wins and 2 draws previously!...Full Report HERE
The Bucks are next in action this Tuesday night with an away trip to Gainsborough Trinity (7-45) before returning to Tarmac Silverlands action next Saturday (19th) with a 3pm kick-off against Witton Albion. The draw for the Buildbase FA Trophy 1st Qual round will be made tomorrow at 1pm with the ties taking places on October 26th.
It has been another busy week of player movements at the club. Winger Reece Fishwick moved to Ramsbottom United and centre-half Billy Priestley has signed for Bradford Park Avenue. Young Stoke City midfielder Adam Porter had his Work Experience loan cut short and he has now signed for Leek Town. Attacking midfielder Oliver Partington, one of a number of promising academy players, has signed first team forms for the club.
