Testing Week At The Silverlands



It's been another tough week for the Bucks, both on and off the pitch, with just a point picked up in the two matches played and a combination of injuries, absentees and recalls meaning a complete change in the midfield department.

Team captain Callum Chippendale is waiting for a full assessment on his broken leg picked up against Bamber Bridge last Tuesday and Spennymoor have recalled Jake Hibbs early from his loan. Nico De Girolamo and Jude Oyibo were also absent this week and both Liam Hardy and Ash Young missed the trip to Morpeth on Saturday.

Coming in to the club is former Sheffield Wednesday under 23 midfielder Warren Clarke and defensive midfielder Aaron Chalmers, who is on loan from Ashton United. Both players made their debuts at Morpeth on Saturday. Youngster Louie Davies has also signed on first team forms, becoming the first player from the new academy set up to progress.

Just a reminder that Tuesday's scheduled Integro Cup match at home to Ilkeston is now OFF and we are next in action on Saturday with the Emirates FA Cup 2nd qualifying round match at home to Corby Town. (3pm)

For their first visit to Craik Park Buxton could hardly have faced a more challenging situation. With just 3 points earned and no wins in the first 7 league fixtures, the visitors had to take on recently-promoted Town (twice as many points from just 4 games) with as many as 7 (!) front-line players absent....Full Match Report HERE
