Second half goals from George Ward and Jesurun Uchegbulam (his first for the club) earned the Bucks full points at relegated-threatened Hereford on Saturday to maintain the late push for a play-off place. Buxton had great preparation for the match by utilizing the fantastic facilities at Johnny Johnston’s old club, Redditch United. The players travelled down on Friday and were full of praise for Redditch’ s hospitality. Manager John McGrath kept the same starting eleven who defeated Bedford Town last week with Will Flint and new loan recruit Marshall Francis on the bench replacing Deniche Hill and the now departed Joey Dawson whose loan was up last week. Hereford included ex-Buck Theo Richardson in goals and Bermudan International Keziah Martin was on the bench. Full Match Report HERE
So, a first-ever victory for Buxton at Edgar Street and a fifth victory on the spin leaves the Bucks on the edge of the play-off places with a game in hand on the three teams immediately above them and sets up nicely the home game against local rivals Macclesfield FC on Good Friday at 3pm. The match will be all ticket for away supporters via the Macclesfield website, who will be housed down the Scratching Shed side of the ground. Home supporters will be cash and card at the gate with pre-purchase tickets going on sale early next week. Supporters are encouraged to turn up early to ease turnstile congestion with a large crowd expected.
The Bucks completed two loan signings just before the deadline on Thursday. Marshall Francis is a young forward from Sheffield United who has been a regular in their Under 21’s team and ‘keeper Harry Evans joins us from Derby County following several loan stints in semi-pro soccer.

That’s a really important result for Buxton, not just because of the three points but because of the history behind it. A first-ever win at Hereford makes it stand out, and doing it in the middle of a strong run of form makes it even more impressive. The fact they secured it with second-half goals and kept pushing for a play-off spot shows how much momentum the team has right now.
What’s also interesting is how these kinds of wins often come from consistency rather than just one standout performance. Five wins in a row and being right on the edge of the play-offs suggests the team is really starting to click at the right time of the season.

I recently worked with Omnisoft, and I honestly had a great experience. From the very beginning, the team was responsive, professional, and really took the time to understand my project requirements. As an OmiSoft web development company, they clearly know what they’re doing when it comes to modern technologies like AI and blockchain.
What impressed me the most was their attention to detail and the way they communicated throughout the entire process. They kept me updated at every stage and were always open to feedback, which made the collaboration smooth and stress-free.
The final result exceeded my expectations — everything worked perfectly, and the platform was both fast and user-friendly. If you're looking for a reliable tech partner, I would…
