"It's the hope that kills" says the fashionable football adage and so it was at half-time at Whaddon Road on Saturday as underdogs Buxton stood just 45-odd minutes from joining the biggest clubs in the 3rd-round draw for just the 2nd time in the club's near 150-year history! A memorable 1st-half performance, cheered on unceasingly by the 500+ travelling fans in the away end, had seen the visitors lead twice to reach the interval a goal up by virtue of taking the game to the hosts and the scale of the defeat can partly be explained by 'the Bucks' continuing to push forward in numbers after falling behind (unlike at Ipswich Town 3 years ago where damage limitation had been the watchword)......Full Match Report HERE
The Bucks are next in action this coming Saturday with the rearranged away match at Spennymoor Town (3pm). The away game at Leamington will now be played on Tuesday 20th January at 7-45.
Callum Ebanks has departed the club, with a season-long loan at Bedford Town and Ryan Viggars has returned from his short loan at Matlock Town.

Trust usually comes down to how direct a casino is about its conditions. Lots of platforms load you up with bonuses that sound attractive but turn into obstacles later. That’s why I often use sites modeled after agent no wager as a benchmark, since they focus more on transparent rules and no-wager setups that don’t punish casual players. When you see a casino present its terms clearly in the middle of their promo sections, it’s usually a strong indicator that they’re not trying to mislead you. Picking something with straightforward withdrawal policies definitely saves time and stress.
