It has been a busy few days for the Bucks with the addition of four 'new' faces coming into the club. Experienced goalkeeper Grant Shenton has signed from Chester FC where he was a near ever-present last season. He is best remembered at the Silverlands for his time at Ramsbottom United where he was part of a very successful side that climbed up the leagues. The second new face is 26 year old central defender Alex McQuade who joins from Ossett United where he was club captain last season. Alex came through the ranks at Bolton Wanderers before moving to Shrewsbury Town and has also had a stint playing in Australia.
Right-sided player Reece Fishwick has been signed from Prescot Cables after being a youngster at Preston North End and finally there is a welcome back to the club for midfielder Kane Hickman who started the season with us last term before playing at Glossop North End.
Left-back Alex Brown played a full 90 minutes for the England 'C' side in Estonia on Wednesday night. The young lions went down rather harshly 2-0 (both goals coming very late on) to an Estonia side that reportedly contained six players with full international caps.
