Young, talented midfielder Ashton Mee made his debut from the bench on Saturday.

If ever a home defeat (this was Buxton's 7th in the NLN) need not have happened, this surely was it! A justifiable criticism of 'the Bucks' this season has been that, on various occasions, they have played very well in one part of a match but haven't made the most of that dominance in terms of goals scored and have not done enough in the remaining time to win. Saturday's defeat was an extreme example of such....Full Match report HERE

The Bucks gave second half debuts, from the bench, against Spennymoor to young midfielder Ashton Mee and forward Kurt Willoughby. Mee has signed form Stockport County, having spent the majority of last season on a successful loan at South Shields. Willoughby is an experienced player who has signed for the Bucks from Kidderminster Harriers and ranks AFC Fylde, Oldham Athletic and Chester among his previous clubs. Welcome both!

The Bucks are next in action this coming Saturday with the short trip to Alfreton Town for a Derbyshire ‘derby’ clash. Kick-off is 3pm and entrance for Buxton supporters will be via the Alma Street turnstiles.

Also a reminder that the away game at Southport will now be played on Tuesday 17th of February at 7-45. Bucks supporters who are planning to use the train to get to this match will need to check timetables with Piccadilly Station in Manchester partially closed that week.
