The Bucks kicked off their preseason campaign with a 3-1 victory over a young Barnsley side at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium last night in front of 647 spectators. There were first looks for the faithful at new signings Sammy Robinson, George Ward, Ryan McLean, Callum Ebanks and Tate Campbell along with four trialists and some academy players.
Connor Kirby gave the Bucks a first half lead before Kieran Graham levelled for the visitors and in the second half substitutes Johnny Johnston and Tate Campbell found the net to give the Bucks victory in a competitive encounter.
One interested spectator was former Buxton and current Barnsley player Marc Roberts. Buxton FC would like to thank everyone at Barnsley FC for agreeing the fixture and wish all the best for the new campaign.
The Bucks will be playing a behind closed doors match at Forest Green Rovers FC later this week before crossing the Irish Sea to take on Ballymun United FC in Dublin next Tuesday night. To the best of our knowledge this will be the first time Buxton will have played on the Irish mainland since a Football Association Amateur Cup tie against Cliftonville in Belfast in February 1895!

Great to see the team starting pre-season with a strong win. Always exciting watching the momentum build. I sometimes use https://onlinefontsgenerator.com/ to make clean, styled headings for my notes and graphics, so sharing it here in case it helps anyone else in the community too.

Traffic Jam 3D is a puzzle game that puts you in the middle of a chaotic metropolitan traffic congestion. You have to skilfully move the cars about to get out of the bottleneck, which is exciting and interesting.
When I started supporting a local cancer charity, I wanted to understand patients’ experiences better. I looked for online forums with real stories and advice. I found cancer support, a UK-based platform for cervical cancer. This UK site has active discussions on treatments, emotional coping, and even diet tips. You can join threads, ask questions, or read anonymously. The UK focus makes the advice relevant, and the site’s user-friendly. It’s been great for learning and helping out at the charity.
