The Bucks put in a strong display at Basford United on Tuesday night, despite falling behind in just the second minute. Former Buxton defender Brad Gascoigne capitalised from an early Basford corner but following this setback, the Bucks went on to win the match 3-1 with Jamie Ward netting a ‘brace’ and a first goal for the club for captain Josh Granite. This Saturday (3pm) is the much-anticipated Emirates FA Cup 4th qualifying round clash at National North side Kettering Town. The Bucks will be attempting to reach the 1st Round Proper for the first time since 1962, having failed at this stage on 7 occasions since then.
