Former Buxton FC junior Dan Cowan, now 25, has rejoined the club from National League North side Chester. The 25-year-old defender is expected to be in the squad for Saturday's visit to promotion rivals Bamber Bridge.
Bucks' manager Steve Cunningham knows Dan well, as they had a spell together at Curzon Ashton. Steve said: "Dan is well over six feet tall and athletic, strong in the air and quick on the ground. What's more, he can fit in anywhere across the back line.
"Thanks to the chairman and board for their proactive support in getting this deal done. Dan's experience will be a big asset to us, particularly as we struggle with injuries to key players."
Dan completed his time as a trainee at Macclesfield Town and went on to play 50 times for the Silkmen, then enjoyed three successful years at Stockport County, before moving to Curzon Ashton, Guiseley and Chester.

Great to see young talent making moves from National League North! The development pathway in football is so important, and stories like this show the opportunities available for hardworking players.
Speaking of creative development, I recently discovered this awesome music game called Incredibox where you can compose your own beats by mixing different sounds. It's surprisingly addictive and a great way to unwind after watching football. Check it out at https://incrediboxgame.net/">U - perfect for when you need a break from sports but still want something interactive and fun!
Great signing for the club! Bringing in talent from National League North shows excellent scouting work - these players often bring that perfect mix of hunger and lower-league experience that can really strengthen a squad. The Buxton junior connection adds an interesting local angle too.
For football fans looking to pass time between matches, https://ugamebox.com has some fantastic football management sims and arcade-style soccer games. I've been playing their 'Striker Challenge' recently - really captures that lower-league underdog spirit this signing embodies!
these sentiments reflect the mod’s popularity rather than its quality, as Sprunki continues to receive praise for its creativity and accessibility.
