Just 4 days before the massively important F.A. Cup tie at Cheltenham, Buxton understandably rested 8 players for Tuesday evening's county cup-tie versus what proved to be a splendid young Derby County team which thoroughly deserved its comprehensive victory.
'The Bucks' started with 9 players of the senior squad & debuts for Harry Balfe in midfield & Under-21's captain, Liam Ruddick, at right-back, but from the outset found difficulty in containing the youthful visitors who passed the ball with accuracy & frequently at great pace in developing attacks. What's more, they possessed the evening's 2 outstanding players in midfielders Owen Eames, who was on the Championship team's bench last Saturday, & Cruz Allen, a Welsh Under-19 international....Full Report HERE
